REMINDER! No Base Group Summary. Come Ready to Talk!
- Because we decided to do away with the Base Group Summary, there is no BG synthesis of new insights, highlighting of different perspectives, controversies that arose in the discussion, new questions, etc. to jump start our discussion on Monday.
- Therefore, we need to generate these ourselves. Come ready to discuss in class…
- Contradictions or common themes you noted in the readings?
- Controversies or common themes you noted in the discussion forum posts?
- Questions these readings raised for you?
- Connections: How did the readings and/or your post this week connect to what we discussed last week?

REMINDER! BASE GROUP CHECK-OUTS:
Please Check-out by answering the Check-out questions at the end of the week.
1) Login to the course website.
2) Then, go to that week’s schedule page and find the Base Group Check-in (or Check-out) question for the week (e.g., W4 Sept 16-22 Online from the drop-down menu)
3) Email or otherwise contact your Base Group members when you have Checked-in and Checked-out to let them know you have done so. This way the group can help support its members, get to know its members, and build trust over time.
4) To see how your answers and scores compare with your group overall, go to the Base Groups page. Find your Base Group. Click on your group and find the appropriate tab at the top to see the other member(s) Check-in or Check-out Answers.

- See criteria for this Assignment and Sample Cover Letters on the Article for Publication page – check out the “Sample Cover letters” especially the first 3 pages of the Sample document to see two emailed cover letters which ended in successfully published articles by two of our EPET doc students. The first page of the Sample doc shows you how I will score your letter.
- Be ready to share your Cover Letter when we meet synchronously on 9/23.
