Thank you for reading it carefully!<\/p>\n<p><strong>REMINDER:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>FIRST DRAFTS of ARTICLE FOR PUBLICATION DUE <u>TODAY, November 8 by midnight EST<\/u>.\u00a0<\/strong>Submit to the Dropbox on D2L.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Login to the course site to see the schedule for this week<\/strong>\u00a0(November 8-14):\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/greenhow.educ.msu.edu\/cep956fs21\/w10\/\">http:\/\/greenhow.educ.msu.edu\/cep956fs21\/w10\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>BASE GROUP CHECK-IN\/CHECK-OUTS:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Please\u00a0<strong><u>Check-in<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0with your Base Group at the beginning of the week by answering the Base Group\u00a0<em>Check-in questions<\/em>\u00a0early in the week and then,\u00a0<strong><u>Check-out<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0by answering the\u00a0<em>Check-out questions<\/em>\u00a0at the end of the week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>READINGS &amp; ONLINE DISCUSSION<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Facilitating Learning with Social Media&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>Last week we considered \u201clearning\u201d defined as \u201cliteracies\u201d and the \u201cnew literacies\u201d or \u201cdigital\u201d literacies needed by students, teachers, and teacher-scholars today within and across various socio-technical contexts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s set of readings present research on how to \u201cteach\u201d or \u201cfacilitate learning\u201d with social media among various groups in various contexts such as K-12 education, college students, adults, and teachers as learners in teacher education.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s forum question (only one) asks you to use the research base\u2014selecting from this week\u2019s readings\u00a0\u2014and construct an argument for or against enhancing students\u2019 learning with social media. You will need to pick an educational context (undergraduate education, teacher education, graduate education, K-12 education: elementary, etc.) in which to situate your argument. You will also need to focus on the\u00a0<u>instructor&#8217;s <\/u>perspective and pedagogy. Up until this point, we\u2019ve been talking largely about the students\u2019 or learners\u2019 perspectives.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Please choose at least 2 readings within the \u201cFacilitating Learning with Social Media\u201d list to substantiate your ideas. These can be articles related to teaching in K-12 or higher education or teaching adults.
