I am Abduvohid Isakov from Uzbekistan.
Currently, I work at Namangan State University as a lecturer and visiting scholar at MSU.
I have bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fine arts. I have 16 years of work experience, of which 13 years are closely related to education. To become a professional teacher, I have worked at most levels of education, from elementary to tertiary. Moreover, I have experienced in Museum work as well as in mass media.
In addition, to expand my knowledge, I participated in the ITEC program, which was held in India in 2017. As a result, I was able to improve my Graphic Design and English Communication skills.
Moreover, I learned the basic Korean language at the KOICA training centre.
Last but not least, I am doing my PhD project on “Improvement of the methodological base for the use of digital technologies in fine arts lessons”. Therefore, I would like to audit this course as it is relatively connected with my topic. My expectations from this course are to explore the impact of digital technology on arts education, including social media, and features of the publication process.

Welcome, and thank you for this introduction! Your fluency in languages (written and spoken) is so impressive. I look forward to learning more about what you teach in Uzbekistan and what you are working on in terms of your research as a visiting scholar here in the U.S. In terms of the intersection between social media and arts education, I think the topic is wide open for research. I haven’t come across any studies on the use of social media in arts specifically, which is not to say there are not any, but the literature reviews I have conducted and that I know of do not address this. I’ll have to do a bit more digging. That said, some of the insights from other disciplines might apply, as we will discuss in class. Welcome!
